A Letter from the Artistic Director
Every day around 4 o'clock, when the day has run its course, the future shows up at my door and it's impossible not to find my second wind.
The future looks like you might imagine: big eyes, loud voice, confident one moment and in doubt the next. The future wears unique clothing and carries an awful lot of bags. The future sings show tunes. And Beatles songs.
The future asks me great questions that sometimes I can't answer, uses the Scotch tape on my desk, and has homework to do later that night.
The future is writing a play.
The future bursts into our little office full of ideas and energy because the future has rehearsal in fifteen minutes.
At YPC we believe young people should have the opportunity to develop creativity, boldness, vision and voice—to find a respectful, challenging place to play and learn. I'm reminded every day how important that is to the human spirit, particularly in times of great stress and challenge.
Our company is so blessed to be the place the future chooses to visit. Everything we do at YPC is in thanks for the trust and time that our young artists share with us.
You are welcome to be a part of our artistic community. I invite you to become an important source of support in a young person’s life by becoming a donor today.
Take it from me, the future will sustain you in return!
